“The room was terribly filthy. We couldn't stay but one night of the 3 we had booked. The property looks more like a homeless take over, than a motel. The staff didn't want to refund us for the other 2 nights we didn't spend there. Expedia agents tried to help but they couldn't solve the problem neither for us nor for our daughter and her husband whom had another room in the same place. I really need to press for a refund. We were charged $231 per night, which is overpriced in those conditions”

“The Utopia River Retreat was just what we needed after 3 nights camping out in Big Bend. The cabin we stayed in (Kickapoo) was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed (cooking utensils, bath towels, linens). The grounds were peaceful and scenic and had a nice swimming pool and volleyball net as well as riverfront access. “Had an absolutely lovely time! Our trip was just two nights and this cute place fit perfectly for our needs! Paz (their doggo) was the best greeter at the backyard gate every time we came back to the casita and the human hosts were very sweet and attentive. We didn’t have any issues and overall it made our trip relaxing. Thanks! _”
